I.G.P. Umbria
The grape variety
100% Sangiovese.
The refining
Approximately 24 months in barrels made of French oak, of which, 20% is new, 40% second use and 40% third use. Then, the refining continues in the bottle for 12 months.
Ageing
The wine continues to mature in the bottle for a least 15 years
Sensory characteristics
To the eye: Ruby red with purple reflections.
In the nose: Scents of cherries, cinnamon and sweet liquorice.
In the mouth: Very elegant to the palate with velvety tannins, and a lingering finish.
